This Open Source survey was conducted with about 160 unique organizations across Southeast Asia and India by Ashnik to understand the expected rise and adoption of open source, how its powering some key digital initiatives and what trends will open source drive in 2022.
Organizations are rapidly evolving technologically to better serve their customers and gain a competitive advantage in the digital-first world – this survey report sums up the key transformational goals in the coming year for enterprises and how open source is playing a big part in it today.

PostgreSQL and MongoDB were picked as the top Open Source Database technologies that will see an increased adoption. Followed by Redis, ElasticSearch and a mix of others.

The top Kubernetes platforms of 2022 as picked by participants across organizations are AWS EKS and AKS. Closely followed by OpenShift, GKE and Mirantis.

71% of the respondents said that Kubernetes will be highly important for their Cloud-Native application strategy
